Our students participate in the 2nd International Conference on Master of Public Health of Mahidol University

In order to open up students 'international perspectives, improve students' international cooperation and communication capabilities, and create open, composite first-class talents who are based on China, have a global mind, and have the vitality of innovation and entrepreneurship. Teacher Zeng Xin from the Teaching and Training Department led 31 undergraduate students to Bangkok, Thailand on November 18, 2019. The next day (19), they participated in the 2nd Mahidol University Public Program at Mahidol University, Thailand. 2nd MU MPH International Conference.


The meeting officially started at 8:30 am on November 19th. First, Dr. Hanuantong Tanasugarn, Dean of the School of Public Health of Mahidol University, delivered an opening speech and extended a warm welcome to the participants.

At this point, the conference officially began, and Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakom first delivered a speech entitled "Public Health Beyond Boundaries." Dr. Wiwat proposed that public health needs to break geographical boundaries, academic boundaries, and traditional public health disciplines. Among them, she elaborated on the 3 million-3years project and condom use promotion program successfully implemented in Thailand, emphasizing that public health should not only be academic research by professionals, but also be implemented in policies and actions, so as to truly Public health discipline research contributes to the improvement of existing public health conditions.

Subsequently, the meeting invited three experts, Dr. Pongrama Ramasoota, Dr. Supamit Chunsuttiwat, and Mr. Anoop Singh Gurung, to share in depth what they have learned from their public health careers: Be brave to step out of the comfort zone, challenge yourself; stick to your love,  In the past 30 years, 30 years of research and development of HBV antibodies; advocating for school study while paying attention to actively grasping practical opportunities, and being prepared to respond to opportunities at any time.

This meeting officially opened the prelude of our college's "Dachuan Vision" Thailand Mahidol University project in 2019. During the next two weeks of study, students will participate in the study of public health related courses at Mahidol University in a combination of theory and practice, and visit local medical service institutions to interact with Thai teachers and students.
